MotionMuse is an easy to use software to create 3D character animations. It is especially designed for non-expert users so that anyone can pick it up and start animating.
2. Who is MotionMuse for?
MotionMuse is designed for 2D/3D artists, freelancers, indie game developers and anyone who needs to animate a character without having the know how to operate a complex 3D animation software.
3. Why should I use MotionMuse when other software are on the Market?
What you choose is entirely up to you. However, MotionMuse does offer some of the more advanced functionality not available in other software. MotionMuse uses a state of the art Inverse Kinematics implementation which can control the entire character body making it much easier to pose a character as you desire. It also implements a spline based sketching for easy posing of character limbs.
4. What file formats does MotionMuse support?
MotionMuse supports the industry standard FBX format. FBX files can be imported and edited in MotionMuse. MotionMuse also exports to an FBX file so that it can be used anywhere across a wide variety of animation tools and gaming engines. DAE files can also be imported, other file formats will get support in the future.
5. Do I need an internet connection to use MotionMuse?
MotionMuse requires an internet connection when registering for the first time. At each subsequent runs it checks for a valid license and If a valid license is found it allows the user to work offline.
6. What pen-tablet devices does MotionMuse support?
Doing extensive testing with every pen-tablet device on the market is not feasible, but in the limited tests that we did perform MotionMuse has worked with all devices that we have thrown at it. We advise you to test the compatibility of your device with the free version of MotionMuse before committing.
7. Is any other functionality in the pipeline for MotionMuse?
Yes, we are constantly working on bringing useful functionality not available in other software into MotionMuse. Smaller things aside, we are heavily involved in research and development of new technologies. Please be patient as it may take some time for them to show up in MotionMuse.
